WordPress today announced the availability of 2.6.5. It includes 1 security fix, and 3 bug fixes. I’m not necessarily one to advocate upgrading to the latest and greatest ‘just because’, but in instances where security fixes are involved, I’d recommend it.
Recently a similar exploit was taken advantage of, and some of those who didn’t upgrade were affected by it and installed a rogue 2.6.4 version, which WordPress says as a result there is and never will be a version 2.6.4.
